George Sexton Associates provided lighting design services for the reinstallation of galleries and public spaces. The lighting design consists of artificial lighting, which is controlled via a central control system, and natural lighting, which is filtered via passive control devices, such as laminated and insulated glass, and active control devices, such as light transmitting shades. The combination of these lighting systems provides precise illumination of art objects throughout the galleries and gives museum staff the flexibility to adjust the lighting depending on natural light levels and occupancy of gallery spaces.
