Narbo Via, The Roman Museum in Narbonne, contains more than 1000 ancient Roman artifacts and funerary stones. George Sexton Associates provided artificial light and daylight design services for this newly built museum. The scope of work included artificial lighting to gallery spaces, amenities, offices and museum workshops. The daylight design involved modeling the central skylight to develop the glass specification and shading requirements to direct raking light across the faces of the stones displayed in the “Mur Lapidere” in the central spine of the museum.
